The Santomi Center [Kyoto / Sanjo Tominokoji] will held Calligraphy Activation by young calligrapher HILOKI who is based in Kyoto on Friday, July 5, 2019. The second edition will be held. You could learn from Calligrapher HILOKI that how to wright your favorite words and enjoyed the Calligraphy in a short time. You could practice and clean up under the guidance of. The early morning Sanjo Tominokoji is so quiet that you can’t imagine it being the center of Kyoto. As soon as you rub ink and face yourself and write your favorite words, 90 minutes will pass quickly. After the calligraphy, along with the coffee at Santomi Center, it is one of the fun times for the participants to interact with each other while immersing themselves in the finish. Surely it will be the beginning of a fulfilling day! We are looking for participants now.

■HILOKI TANAKA
Born in 1983.
Started calligraphy from 7 years old, learned from Master. Shoshu, who made the title character of NHK Taiga drama “Gunshi Kanbei”
Accepted university exams by calligraphy recommendation.
Graduated from Hanazono University Calligraphy Course in 2005.
Author activity started in earnest in 2007.
He develop original style ink, wide style from tradition to modern works.
In 2010, he won the first prize, Xi’an Beirin Director General’s Award, at the 2nd Yan Zhenqing International Calligraphy Exhibition held in China.
Many awards at international exhibitions. Develop various activities at domestic and international solo exhibitions and group exhibitions.
The Hanshin Tigers team slogan has been running for three consecutive years since 2016. “千葉” and “Chiba” for Red Bull Air Race Chiba. In addition, the collaboration works with Kyoto Sanga F.C., various media appearances, movies, live performances, store artworks, etc.
He presides for the drop meeting HILOKI calligraphy class in Kyoto, GoshoMInami (Nakagyo Ward), Shiga, Minami Kusatsu, Nagoya, Marunouchi.
