Santomi Center “BOX” Gallery will open from Saturday, September 29, 2018.
The first memorable artist is JOE from the legendary bicycle brand “BROOKLINE MACHINE WORKS”, which is extremely popular from street to celebrity in New York.
In addition to exhibiting the bikes that Joe worked on, entitled “The Legend”, and the parts made by cutting, it is also possible to purchase them as Art works. Brooklyn Machine Works and Santomi Center collaboration goods (coffee tampers, T-shirts, posters, etc.) will be sold for a limited time. At the reception party of Santomi Center “BOX” (Gallery) Art Show Vol.1, JOE, the founder, also came to Japan. 28th and 29th will be in the Gallery!

Joseph Avedisim / Joe who founder of “BROOKLYN MACHINE WORKS (BMW)” has set up a factory in the BROOKLYN,NewYork and has produced numerous masterpieces since the early 1990s. The main work wasthe production of “Art”, “Sculpture” and “custom-made furniture”.
On the other hand, MTB parts, which were also hobbies, are produced at the BMW factory, and in 1994, spin-off work “PARK BIKE” was born from an extension of hobbies. The following year, BMX was completed in 1995. Joe and Adam Yauch (MCA) from Beastie Boys Founded 1996 in collaboration with BROOKLYN MACHINE WORKS. Rumors that the original frame of “MADE IN NYC” can be ordered quickly spread to the heads of the NY street scene, and numerous masterpieces were born.
Joe’s works first arrived in Japan 20 years ago.
The first bike that arrived in Japan was “PARK BIKE”. At that time, rumors gradually spread from NY already in Japan.
We often see custom-built BMW bikes in Tokyo.
BMW is now on a new stage, led by Farrell Williams, while retaining the colors of the 90s.
The new BROOKLYN MACHINE WORKS are always expected to move forward.
