Santomi Center BOX (Gallery)will be held The first art show in 2019 from February 16 (Sat) to March 3 (Sun), aiming for the steel artist “GRAND COBRA”, which is a hot topic at the 2025 Osaka World Expo invitation monument.
“GRAND COBRA” is an indomitable metal artist who creates solid works using sheet metal and modeling techniques centering on iron materials, manipulates iron freely and transforms inspiration into a freehand image.
ll works are finished free-handed, without drafts, without traces, and feature the ability to concentrate on hidden parts such as the color and texture of the iron base, natural and artificial rust.

Born in 1971, in Osaka
Welding started around 1994.
In 2001, “GRAND COBRA” started producing and expressing 3D works centering on iron materials.
In the past, he has presented various three-dimensional works at numerous group exhibitions and solo exhibitions, and has probable his unique worldview. Recently, he has made new attempts such as creating a monumental support monument for the Osaka Expo 2025 and creating a joint work with Japan’s leading graffiti artist “ZENONE” who also held a solo exhibition at the Santomi Center. In addition, while providing works to companies, etc., it is continuing a wide range of activities, including welding of daily necessaries such as doors and rear cars.
